Project Brief
For this project I approached a local coffee shop from my area located inside a gas station and offer the owner the chance to rebrand his store. I designed a new logo and prototyped an ordering app for his business.
TOOLS:
Adobe PS, AI, XD, FIGMA
Coffee Selection
Users can choose their preferred coffee by swiping left or right and selecting.
Customization and Preferences
Customize your favorite drink by selecting the size of the cup, milk of preference and amount of espresso shots in your drink.
Checkout
After selecting and customizing the drink, users can use their debit card or a mobile payment service to proceed to checkout. After confirming the order users will recieve an order number for pickup.
Logo and Design Process
Old logo vs Rebrand
Logo Drafts
For the new logo I started making rough drafts trying to incorporate and merge both mechanic/garage tools with coffee equipment and mugs.

Logo Variations
After some drafting and designing, this were the two logos with the most positive response and passed to the choosing phase.
Official Logo and Correct Uses
I decided to go for the cog and mug icon and rounded sans serif font to illustrate a more friendly restaurant image. I went for a combination mark logo which can be used whole (logo and type) or just the mug icon.
Font Used
As said above, this round sans serif font transmits friendliness, comfort and cozziness which I think goes very well with a coffee shop theme.
Brand Colors
Warm colors were utilized to transmit cozziness, warmth and sweetness. These are usual feelings one gets while drinking a good cup of coffee with freshly baked pastries.
